Taraaz’s Celebration with Laila’s Gift
Today, we’re sharing a heartwarming story from Taraaz’s 7th birthday celebration.
His dad, Steve, reminds us why Laila’s Gift is so important:
“We were new in the state last year and didn’t really have birthday plans. Laila’s Gift made us feel a little bit at home, which was nice.”

Steve shared, “When you have a special needs kid, it’s a whole different thing. We didn’t have friends and family that would participate, so you feel lonely. But at the same time, you want to celebrate your child’s birthday.”
That’s exactly why we do what we do – to ensure no child’s birthday goes uncelebrated, no matter the circumstances.
From music and kids to food and presents (including a new keyboard for Taraaz!), we’re creating moments of joy and belonging.
